Ahmose did gift Sh'e'aaba and she was fecund.

The woman died unmourned.

The child is carried deep into the desert and given into the care of the aging custodian of an old forgotten temple. With the help of a grizzled veteran of Pharaoh's elite Blue Crane Regiment, the old man attempts to train the boy; warning him that if he leaves the temple complex or ventures beyond the boundary of the nearby village he will be hunted down and killed.

The boy grows and one day he meets Nafraya, whose midnight eyes haunt his dreams, but their love has nowhere to go, no hope of fulfilment.

Then suddenly, shockingly Nafraya is taken and sold into slavery. The boy who is now a man determines to find her, leaving the temple behind he ventures into the unknown pursued by a fanatical band of assassins who need the blood and living flesh of Pharaoh's son to fulfil a dark and evil prophecy.

But nothing is quite what it seems and Nafraya, he is told, has been taken to the distant land of the long haired Celts.

"I will find you," his voice carried on the wind, "some how, some way I will find you, I swear it."

But before he can save Nafraya first the oath sworn innocent must find and save himself.
