The reality of having a baby can sometimes be different from what is expected. In this raw, soul baring collective, written by eight women who met by chance and formed a mothers’ group, you will read nearly every imaginable scenario about the heart warming and heart wrenching journey to becoming a parent. It is not sugar-coated; no one got the fairytale after all. We all got something a little “unexpected”.
The target audience is the new mum who wants to read real stories about others’ personal journeys to becoming a parent. It will suit the reader who is looking for stories to identify with, to understand whether any struggles they are having with early motherhood are normal and to evaluate whether joining a mothers’ group might benefit them. It will also appeal to women who are living away from family support networks who have started, or are considering, starting a family.
The “pre-pregnancy+pregnancy+birth=post birth” equation for every single human being is individual and some readers might want to understand just “how others did it”.

What a wonderful book about the lives of these women as they become mothers! How grateful I am that you have taken the time to share your journeys. I
definitely identified with these women in their journey into the wonderful & often daunting time of becoming a "mother". I laughed
& shed a tear and saw reflections of myself in their stories. What a fantastic book to give a "mother to be" or the mother who had those
days, thank you for helping us to all remember we are not alone :)
