Marilyn, and John, her husband, are sheep farmers on Kangaroo Island off the coast of South Australia. They have owned their 29' Duncanson yacht Shearwater II for fourteen years and have sailed 57,000 miles in her.

Small by today's standards for a circumnavigation, Shearwater II proved to be more than capable of meeting the challenge. Her size meant that there was room for only the basic necessities. Turkey spam on Sunday during the long passages was the highlight of a rather spartan existence and is an indication of the simple pleasures their new lifestyle encompassed.

This book is a recollection of some of their sailing experiences and the people they met. It also reflects their love for Jesus and his teachings.

Wherever they are, and whatever they are doing, they try to live by their wedding text - "Depend on the Lord; trust him, and he will take care of you." (Psalm 37:5) They are convinced that their guardian angels enjoyed the voyage as much as they did!
